Concept and Inspiration
Echoes of Departure is a narrative short film exploring artistic video storytelling. The concept was inspired by themes of impermanence, friendship, and emotional transition. With minimal dialogue, the film emphasizes body language, setting, and visual metaphor to convey meaning—drawing inspiration from indie cinema and reflective art pieces.
Objective
The goal of the project was to create an emotionally resonant piece that tells a story through mood and pacing rather than exposition. It aimed to capture a quiet moment of human connection right before a life-changing separation.
